Another mistake that leads to a deterioration in the adhesion of the film is the refusal to degrease the body before applying the protective material. The reliability of the adhesion of the polyurethane film to the paintwork of the car body largely depends on how well the soap solution that serves as a connector is prepared.
Failure to maintain the optimal proportions when mixing the components can cause:
- material displacement during the molding process;
- peeling of the film after drying the soap solution;
- difficult removal of material at the end of the design life.
