Stages of preparation of the interior for wrapping the car with film according to patterns

Every year, the number of car owners who want to wrap plastic and glass elements of the interior of a PPF car according to patterns is growing. After buying patterns for the car interior and cutting the protective material on the plotter, you need to start preparing the interior for further wrapping. As a first step, you need to place the car in the garage or in any other enclosed area where there is no wind. Otherwise, dust will fly into the interior, which will impair the quality of the grip between the protective material and the base. You also need to make sure that the work area is well lit.

Further preparation stages

Removable interior parts that are not subject to wrapping, but may complicate the process of applying the film to adjacent surfaces, should be removed. Next, you need to cover the interior elements covered with textiles with a plastic film or other waterproof material. Otherwise, when the film is further glued, the spilled adhesive solution may stain the fabric.

As in the case of patterns for the car body, patterns for the car interior can have large elements. If you plan to use large pieces of film (for example, to protect the dashboard), as part of the preparation of the car, you can temporarily remove the front row seats. This way you will get more free space when wrapping, minimizing the risks of creases and mismatch of the contours of the contact surfaces.

Further, as part of the preparation of the interior of the car for wrapping, it is recommended to thoroughly vacuum the interior. Then you should perform a wet wipe of the plastic and glass surfaces. Complex contamination in the form of dried organic and mineral stains from the surface of the pasted parts must be removed mechanically or with the help of auto chemicals. If this is not done, after applying the film, air bubbles will form under it, which will lead to rapid wrapping of the protective material. At the final stage of preparation, the surfaces to be wrapped in the cabin must be degreased with an alcohol solution. This will ensure the most reliable adhesion between the protective material and the base.
