However, it takes skill to create templates. You can buy patterns for the interior of a car - they are designed for specific models. Therefore, the cutouts will be ideally suited to the details.
Another option is hand cutting. It is used in cases where it is not possible to use a plotter. The film is easy to cut and a regular clerical knife or craft knife is sufficient. Only it will take time, especially if there are a lot of details.
There's another problem. In a plotter, you can cut to a millimeter. When using a conventional knife, this effect is difficult to achieve. You need to train for a long time and improve your skills. Due to inconsistencies in size, it is easy to spoil the body of the car.
Even small gaps between the film and the machine threaten to accumulate dirt in them. In addition, this increases the likelihood that the film will begin to deflect. Because of this, the coating will begin to damage.
It is better to use automatic cutting. This reduces the manufacturing time of the parts. In addition, there is no risk that templates are not suitable. With manual cutting, you can leave a lot of material. And if you edit the already pasted film, then it is easy to spoil the paint.
