Signs of poor-quality application of a protective film

Sometimes small bumps can be found on the surface of the polyurethane film, especially noticeable in the light. They occur when grains of sand and dust get under the protective coating during pasting. As a rule, a small number of such bumps on large surfaces is not considered a marriage, since it is almost impossible to completely avoid their appearance. However, if you find such a defect on small parts or several similar bumps were located in a heap in a noticeable place, you can demand to re-glue the damaged fragment.

When making a film, bubbles sometimes form on its surface, which subsequently burst. In such places, noticeable depressions appear on it, which can spoil the appearance of the car. Usually, when cutting off the film, for example, according to the pattern for the bumper of a car, such places are tried to avoid in order to obtain a better coating. If a car service worker misses such a defect and a fragment with such a depression appears on your car, you should demand its re-gluing.

Another defect in the application of the protective film is air bubbles. They appear in the event that the master rolled the film poorly and did not squeeze out all the remaining air from under it. Unlike water bubbles, which themselves disappear as the water dries under the film, air bubbles are much more noticeable and require work to eliminate them. If you notice such a defect, ask the master to immediately eliminate it, since it is enough to simply roll the bubble to correct such a defect.
